Oh my gosh, do I love Origins!

I have been a very loyal customer since I was a teen! I started with my Check and Balances... then I incorporated their collections from A Perfect World, Modern Friction, White Tea face wash, A Perfect World Moisturizer with SPF, Checks and balances toner and just added Night-A-Mins when I noticed how PARCHED and stressed my skin was just a few weeks ago. I’m old school and seriously love all their stuff. As I grew up, I tried a few other things (because I have a pro-beauty discount) but nothing compares to Origins. They are first and foremost a skincare line and their skin care WORKS.

Some of my first masks I ever tried was their Charcoal Mask and 10-Minute Drink Up mask, all of which I have used for years and still use today. These masks have helped detox my skin and hydrate it to it’s fullest.

One of my growing concerns like most millenials, is anti-aging, prevention, and dull tired skin from staying up too late, drinking too much coffee (and wine!) and not staying properly hydrated. All that stress shows up on your skin, leading to a dull texture, large pores-- old.

This line is aimed at what I believe to be, anti-aging for those with “quarter-life crisis’. Pretty cute! It takes care of dull skin,and also brighten and polish lack luster skin by hydrating and your skin has a perfect natural glow. I’m extremely dry and this product, according to their site, can be used for dry, normal and oily skin types and after seeing results of how it feels, I can see why it would be great. It attacks the surface, detoxes and hydrates with a matte glow. I know, it sounds strange, just trust me.

This collection aims at bringing your skin back to it’s original state— think baby skin. Radiant. Poreless. Smooth. RESTED. Also, I cannot stop touching my face! IT’S THAT SOFT.

Original Skin Retexturizing Mask

We all know I’m OBSESSED with masks. I LOVE that I can add this one to my regimen. It has rose clay and we all know clay detoxes your skin, (bye bye dirt at the bottom of your pores!) It also has Jojoba beads, so it has these little beads that help polish and exfoliate your skin. This helps remove dead skin cells so the clay mask can get to work. I think this is what really helps retexturize your skin.

Growing older, my biggest concern has always been pore size and anti-aging. I left this on probably a little bit longer than I needed, but when I washed it off, my skin was PORELESS. I am not kidding. I am fascinated by the results. This is DEFINITELY going to be my new morning pre-filming mask. I cannot say good enough things about it. I typically experience dryness after a clay mask or something so exfoliating and have to pump tons of moisture back in. This left it relatively matte, but my skin felt comfortable, hydrated, not tight and baby smooth. I seriously can’t stop touching my face. If you were here, I would make you touch my face.

Original Skin Renewal Serum

I’ve been naughty and haven’t incorporated a serum (or toner) into my nightly routine in a very long time. I applied this and let it sink in for about ten minutes. I am really looking forward to seeing the end results of using this long term combined with the mask and moisturizer. The morning I woke up (after only 5 hours of sleep :\ which is realistic if I have a 5:30 a.m. call time, I was loving what I saw. My skin, I am telling you is so smooth and soft. I definitely think the three combined really helped resurface my skin. I swear.

According to the Origins website, the serum helps “restore glow 5 ways:

#1: De-stress. Persian Silk Tree helps skin rebound.

#2: Smooth roughness. Chestnut Seed Extract refines texture.

#3: Delete dullness. Willowherb restores glow.

#4: Shrink pores. Algae helps reduce oil to help them appear to vanish.

#5: Minimize flaws. Blurs imperfections.”

I have to say, I agree with everything it claims to do. I feel like it literally dissolved my forehead concerns. My forehead I’ve always been insecure about because I feel it has so much texture (I’m crazy, I know). But it’s so smooth!! My skin this morning is just radiant, I’m not wearing any foundation, just eye shadow and concealer and a cream blush and my skin is just, I don’t want to say perfect… but it kind of is. I definitely have a radiant glow, not only my skin but in my confidence! And I can definitely see how it minimizes and blurs out flaws. I can’t wait for it to get to work on the pimple I just extracted. Don’t worry, I waited while my skin as warm post-shower and used a tool, I hope it helps with the inflammation and expect it will.

Original Skin Matte Moistruzier with Willowherb

I LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER. If you want to know what heaven smells like, open this jar. It is so fragrant and delicious. Not an artificial smelling scent, but it’s just light, soothing and refreshing. I have to admit, I was a little confused, a mattifying moisturizer? I’m dry and need tons of moisture and usually my moisturizers leave me with a soft glow. Maybe that’s why I noticed my texture on my skin? They typically dry down but you can tell I have moisturizer on. This moisturizer left my skin matte. Insane.

I put this on. This Pink Water Cream really got to work. It just kind of sealed the deal for me. It hydrated instantly and within a short few minutes, dried down completely matte. I’ve always been a fan of a radiant glow, which this gives me, but without the greasy after finish. This is definitely going to be added to my P.M. and DEFINITELY morning regimen. Before I tried, I saw on the site that it leaves your skin “primed to go bare or better accept makeup.” I can absolutely see why! I’m not wearing any foundation right now, and it’s blurred imperfections, tightened and smoothed out pores and gives me a soft, I would say matte-pearl glow. My skin looks positively radiant. I’m just SO IN LOVE. I steer clear of primers since I’m dry, but this is going to be my pre-makeup moisturizer, especially for filming. I will definitely be bringing this to set with me!

I’m so thankful for Origins and Influenster sending me these complimentary gifts to try. I am incredibly pleased with the results and look forward to continued use and seeing it’s long term effects. These will definitely be a part of my new pre-filming go-to’s to make sure I’m picture perfect!
