What we wear says a lot about us, and what we wear to auditions reveals a lot of our approach to character. Whether it’s a statement earring (which can e distracting on camera, TRUST ME, I’ve learned the hard way IN THE AUDITION ROOM. Accessories are subtle and I love working with wardrobe because they really help you find your character.

I shot a network pilot years ago, and another pilot, Eddies, which you can watch on Amazon Prime! I especially loved learning and working with wardrobe on Famous In Love. The experience of working with these talented women with such an eye for detail taught me a lot about styling my characters. The pilot experience is so incredible, and because my characters in each of these projects had such distinct personalities, we worked together with “what would she wear?” The network pilot that didn’t get picked up at the Upfronts was so hands on. I remember them trying so many different bracelets on me, what styles I liked to wear, what colors I liked, how I envisioned her, etc. I can’t wait for that experience again. But I only share this to share with you, that what you wear and how you style yourself for auditions DOES say something about their point of view in their world.

These little wooden hoop earrings are so cute for summer and audition friendly!

Hammered Gold Doorknocker Earrings are great for summer and I think and of fun and timeless. You’ll have these for a while!!

This Gold Chain Bracelet is great for real life and audition friendly. It’s trendy, isn’t too flashy, and best of all, QUIET. Great for auditions. I would definitely avoid wearing a bangle for auditions!

I tend to wear larger tote bags since since I like being prepared, but I think this little crossbody is just so cute and fun. It’s a crossbody and a little top handle bag, and it’s animal friendly with vegan leather. I love the little chain, and just cute for running errands with the long strap and great for a night out. PERFECT FOR VACATION!

Now, I wouldn’t wear slides to auditions, that’s just me. When you’re on set, they tend to make noise, so I try to wear things that I would imagine myself being in on set. You don’t really see flip-flops on tv, do you? They. make too much noise.

HOWEVER. These little white slides are so perfect for summer! They hav ea cute little white knot detail.

I also love these black slides with ruching. Perfect for maxi dresses.

Now! I love these ballet flat sling backs! They’re al little different, soft little heel to be comfortable. I love the V shape that will elongate your leg, and super cute with a skirt or a cropped pant. This definitely reads more corporate/professional.
