8 Minutes to a Fabulous, Flawless Face and a little Halloween Spirit!
Hello lovlies! The other day, I got so many compliments and questions about what I was using when I created this look to go pumpkin carving with my friends. Well. I had a full day at pilates and dog sitting, and only had about eight minutes to get my glam on-- the boys were insistent brunch started right at noon and I took forever putting my weave in. YES. I WEAR EXTENSIONS (sometimes) AND I LOVE THEM. I have these from Leyla Milani which I purchased at Naimie's.
Here is a collage of my favorite quick, go-to products. They pull me together fast, and can bring them with me on the run if I need a touch up without taking so much room in my bag. I also went a head and linked most of the pictures or text with click-through links in regards to the product to take you to the site so you can pick up these goodies yourself. :)
FACE
This is my ride or die. When I'm on the run and not going anywhere super fancy, I like to save my luxury Hourglass foundation and concealer. I use this as my concealer and have it double up as my foundation. It's a bit more matte than I usually like as foundation, but I apply it very lightly just for a bit of coverage. Careful, it can get heavy, but if you use the right tools, it can go light. I apply it with this Sigma Concealer brush to my under eye and corners of the nose, and then buff it in with a Morphe 444 Foundation Brush. Voila. Foundation set and ready to go in less than a minute! Pop a bit on your lids for a little "grab" so your shadow sticks to something, too.
CONTOUR
Then, I have to shape up my face because it's as round as a pumpkin, and I'm okay with that. But most days, I want a little shaping. This is what I am using now as I'm trying to actually go through and use the products that I have, but any sculpting powder will do. MAC, Hourglass, IT Cosmetics all have great options.
CHEEKS
I pop a little bit of MAC Ladyblush on with my fingertips to the apple of my cheeks. It gives me an instant hydrated and conditioned look a natural flush of color. I think we're barely two minutes in. YAS.
EYES
This is a must have for anybody. The shadows are so soft and blendable and go on with ease. I pop a little Heaven on my brow bone, Lace Teddy on my lid, and a little Nudie and Honey Butter with a blending brush right into my crease. Then I took a little Chocolate Cookie right into the corner of my crease and wrap it below my lash line with a MAC 219 Brush. This should take you no more than 90 seconds, two minutes tops. The Key? Good Brushes! I usually use a MAC 224 but will update you on newer brushes I'm liking.
BROWS
You need to complete your brows. It's a punishable offense in the great state of Texas to go out in public without your brows on. KIDDING. I go in with a little Warm Blonde and shape them up. Brush up, apply color, then brush up again.
LASHES
This is my favorite mascara! Try it. It is a little pricey, but the way it makes my lashes look is amazing. Want to try it first? You can get the trial size, too! Genius. You can stop at this lash look... or take it one, step further. I like pushing the envelope.
FALSE LASHES, (FABULOUSLY OPTIONAL!)
And of course, I didn't complete this look without my false lashes. While I am happy with just mascara that make my lashes amazing... I was going to brunch and had to be fabulous! So I wore these! We all know I've never met a false lash I didn't like. I get these at my local beauty supply store, Naimie's who carry's this brand. I swear by them. It's natural lash, with a bit more density at the actual lash line with a soft full fringe and look great in person and in pictures. Sometimes I wear these to auditions. I swear putting on false lashes take less time for me than putting on mascara. NO JOKE.
LIPS
Last but not least, lips! I love this color. It's the most perfect sheer red that's buildable. It gives that perfect lip bitten color with tons of moisture. This is my go-to in my audition bag and for on the run. It just makes me feel pretty!
I hope y'all learned something and found this helpful! I believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whatever makes YOU feel YOUR BEST, is what you should do. Remember. YOU DO YOU, BOO. Don't let ANYONE dull your sparkle. Shine bright!
Oh, and in case you were wondering about the pumpkin carving... here are some pics. My friends decorated their ENTIRE house, patio, stairs, living room, everything. And guess what I carved... You'll be shocked. We all kind of laughed when Chelsea saw my pumpkin reveal, and looked at it and said... "That's... actually really good...." I was like, "I know, I didn't know I was so crafty." As we all sat down for a fabulous homemade brunch, we all cheersed each other, with "BOOOO!" What are you to get yourself in the Halloween spirit?
